Document Description
The project consists of offshore geotechnical explorations adjacent to Berth 7 at the former Oakland Army Base to support the design of a proposed Marine Shipping Terminal. Up to 3 soil borings and up to 3 cone penetration tests will be advanced to depths of up to 120 feet below the mudline. Drill cuttings and spent drilling fluid will be contained in drums for offsite disposal. Borings will be abandoned by tremie-placed cement grout from the bottom up.
