Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15303 (New Construction)
Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review and determined that the project would qualify to be exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Section 15303 (New Construction). Section 15303 applies to projects that consist of the construction of a limited number of new small facilities or structures. Since the project would only construct three ground footings that would serve as temporary antenna mounts for satellite receivers, on a previously developed site it was determined that the CEQA exemption was appropriate, and the exceptions listed in CEQA Section 15300.2 would not apply.
