Document Description
The El Cajon Tank Platform Upgrade Project CIP27006 improves access and the safety of staff as part of the District’s ongoing Miscellaneous Storage Tank Upgrades Program. The project is located within the City of El Cajon and consists of the replacement of the existing steel platform with a new grated aluminum platform, the installation of new guardrails and a self-closing gate, the extension of the existing aluminum roof hatch, and the replacement of the interior ladder. The project has been identified as a priority project in the District’s Storage Tanks Program Master Plan.
Project construction is anticipated to begin in November 2026 with anticipated completion June 2027. This project will benefit District customers by maintaining reliability of service and avoiding costly emergency repair expenses. This facility is critical to the District's operations.
