Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15162 since the project is in substantial conformance with the Eisenhower Medical Center Specific Plan Amendment 2D and associated Environmental Impact Report. The Eisenhower Specific Plan Environmental Impact Report studied the full buildout of the Eisenhower Medical Center campus, including the 8.6-acre project site. The development of the project site consists of a new 33kV electrical service within an enclosed structure, approximately 417 parking spaces, exterior site enclosures, and relocation of existing construction trailers. The proposed modifications seek to provide additional electrical capacity, parking, and support areas to the existing Eisenhower Health Campus. No negative visual impact will result as part of the proposed modifications, which are conditioned to be screened with a block wall and perimeter landscaping. Access to the project site will only be available through the Eisenhower Health Campus and no access to the project site from Vista Del Sol will be provided.
