Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to Sections 15301 & 15302 of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) of 1970, as amended, this project is determined to be exempt pursuant to Class 1, Existing Facilities and Class 2, Replacement and Reconstruction, which consist of the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use. The proposed project improvements are within existing City right-of-way and consist of repairing or replacing existing storm drain inlets and slip-line and/or replacement of corroded corrugated metal pipes. The project does not include any expansion of an existing use or unusual circumstances that could result in a significant environmental effect.
