Document Description
County-initiated zoning code amendment of Butte County Code, Chapter 24, Article IV, Division 1, Section 24-172.1 "Short-Term Rental Ordinance". The proposed zoning code amendment intends to remove requirements that would restrict the use of some parcels from the use of a residential dwelling as a short-term rental. The current ordinance has been in effect for over 6 years, and it has been determined that review and update/amendment is appropriate based on the changes over the last 6 years. The updates proposed will provide more flexibility and updated terms. The amendments include the following sections of the ordinance: Definitions, Applicability, Minor Use Permit Process, Administrative Permit Renewal Process, Short-Term Rental Restrictions, Reporting Requirements, and Standards (including occupancy limits).
