Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is planning an overlay project on various onramps in Merced, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. The project proposes to mill and fill from edge of pavement (EP) to EP with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay. Dig-outs will be performed into the existing asphalt concrete by cold planning. Existing pavement markings will also be removed and replaced with new markings. All work will be done in Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to repair areas of failing or damaged pavement on various onramps. The project is needed to prevent further deterioration of the paved highway surface
