Madera Unified School District Outdoor Education Facility

Madera Unified School District proposes to construct and operate the Outdoor Educational Facility Project on property located northwest of the intersection of Almond Avenue and Stadium Road within an unincorporated county island surrounded by the City of Madera. The project may include annexation of portions of the project site into the City of Madera. The project would develop a new educational, athletic, and recreational complex consisting of athletic fields, beach volleyball courts, support buildings, parking areas, lighting, utility infrastructure, and associated site improvements. The project also includes roadway, sidewalk, and utility improvements along the project frontage, as well as expansion of an existing City-owned stormwater basin located north of the site. Following construction, the facility would be used for District educational and athletic programs, youth sports activities, community events, and general public recreational use.
