Document Description
Caltrans approves the encroachment permit for Southern California Edison (SCE) to replace two deteriorated transmission poles within Caltrans right-of-way along eastbound (EB) State Route (SR) 118 in the City of Somis, Ventura County. The existing 75-foot Class 1 wood pole at post mile (PM) 8.69 will be replaced with a new 75-foot Class H1 lightweight steel pole (LSP). The existing 70-foot Class 1 wood pole at PM 9.93 will be replaced with a new 70-foot Class H1 LSP. Temporary traffic control will be implemented during construction. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 114 inches, an average width of 60 inches, and a maximum length of 5 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
