Document Description
Project proposes to install a total of four (4) bilingual site-specific area maps with at San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area to help orient park visitors upon arrival to park locations as well as provide water safety information. In three (3) areas of the park work will:
At the San Luis Reservoir Sector Headquarters (1 Map):
• Relocate the concrete trash receptacle and remove asphalt;
• Excavate and install form boards for a 6-ft x 6-ft x 4-ft concrete landing;
• Excavate two (2) 1-ft dia. x 2-ft deep post holes 72-in. apart and install two (2) 6x6 redwood posts;
• Pour and finish concrete landing that will tie into an existing concrete walk;
• Broom finish the concrete for a slip resistant surface and edge the pad to achieve a rounded finish;
• Backfill around posts with 4-in. base material for drainage and finish with concrete to support map panel roofing system;
• Frame roofing system and attach timberline DHZ hickory asphalt shingle and ridge cap; and
• Attach map panel insert.
In the Los Banos Creek Area (1 Map):
• Excavate to form a 10-ft x 10-ft x 6-in. concrete foundation and a 36-in. wide concrete walk connecting to the existing ADA path;
• Broom finish the concrete for a slip resistant surface and edge the pad to achieve a rounded finish;
• Install two (2) galvanized standoff post bases to accommodate two (2) 6x6 redwood support post;
• Frame roofing system with and attach timberline HDZ hickory shingle and ridge cap; and
• Attach map panel insert.
In the San Luis Creek Area (2 Maps):
• Excavate and form (2) 10-ft x 10-ft x 6-in. areas for concrete landings with 36-in. wide concrete walks to connect with existing ADA paths;
• Excavate four (4) 1-ft dia. x 2-ft deep post holes (2) for each site and install 6x6 redwood posts spaced 72-in. apart;
• Broom finish the concrete for a slip resistant surface and edge the pad to achieve a rounded finish;
• Backfill around posts with 4-in. of base material and finish with concrete to support map panel roofing system;
• Frame roofing system with and attach timberline HDZ hickory shingles and ridge caps; and
• Attach map panel inserts.
