The District proposes to construct a new 99,000 square foot Wellness Facility including a new gym and other fitness and health facilities, and 44 parking spaces. Reasons for Exemption
General Rule: The District conducted detailed technical analyses of cultural resources, air quality, GHG emissions, health risks, and noise for the facility. All of these assessments concluded that the proposed project does not have the potential to result in a significant impact to the physical environment. The site is a developed track and field so has no biological resources. The site is a part of a developed college campus, and the building would be compatible in design to existing buildings, so aesthetic impacts would not be significant.
