Document Description
The proposed Caltrans District Directors Order (DDO) will remove and replace 47 non-bicycle grates at 20 locations on State Route 74 (SR-74) within unincorporated areas in Orange County. This work is needed to immediately restore functional use of the state facility. Work will be completed during the day to facilitate faster repairs on the highway. No saw cutting or new asphalt will be required. Removal and installation of grates would be administered by a small truck mounted boom. Disturbed soil area is anticipated to be less than 1.0 acre. The project has state funding. All work will occur in State right of way. No new right of way will occur. The public benefits.
