The scope of work for this project consists of demolition of the existing filter underdrain system and installation of a new filter underdrain system including filter media, piping and associated appurtenances, and modifications to ancillary structures including access manways and concrete repairs involving negligible or no expansion of capacity at the Helix Water District’s R.M. Levy Water Treatment Plant site located at 9550 Lake Jennings Park Road, Lakeside, CA 92040. Project construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2026, with a scheduled completion in 2028. This project will benefit district customers by maintaining reliability of service and avoiding costly emergency repair expenses. This facility is critical to the district's operations as it is part of the R.M. Levy Water Treatment Plant that supplies clean and filtered water to customers.
