Document Description
Caltrans is developing a bridge project on Routes 20, 29, 101, 162, 253, and 271 in Lake and Mendocino Counties at various locations. The work will consist of polyester concrete overlays, replacing joint seals, treating bridge decks with methacrylate, cold planing/replacing 0.25-.33 foot depth AC at approaches and departures, and placing traffic delineation. All work will be within the existing State right of way. Equipment staging will be confined to paved surfaces and existing non-vegetated turnouts. Construction Area Signs and Portable Changeable Message Signs will tentatively be placed with negligible soil disturbance. The purpose of the project is to preserve the structural integrity of these structures in a safe and economic manner to delay, prevent, or minimize major rehabilitation or replacement through preventative maintenance strategies. The traveling public will benefit from this project.
