Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SHA-64382-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Seabrook Leaf. The Project covered by this Agreement is for required remediation and is limited to the following activities: three natural ford stream crossings eroding fill material into an unnamed stream tributary to the Pit River will be excavated and imbedded with properly-sized rock to span at least 10 feet of the stream crossing surface. To break up flows concentrating down the road surface, two water bars will be installed. Work for these projects will include excavation, removal of fill, armoring, compaction, and installation of erosion control as necessary to stabilize the site.

Reasons for Exemption
This project will permit remediation to mitigate impacts associated with unpermitted stream alterations. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. This project is exempt because it includes upgrading existing stream crossings involves the maintenance of three stream crossings that will result in no expansion in use. The upgraded rock-armored stream crossings will be in the same location with the same purpose and capacity as the natural ford stream crossings and restoration of the associated stream channel. As carried out in accordance with the agreement, it will not have a significant effect on the environment. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare, or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065.
