Document Description
The Sidewalk Repair –Sidewalk Repair Program - Package No. 64 project (Project) consists of the repair of existing sidewalks pursuant to the City of Los Angeles’ obligations under the Willits Settlement Agreement (U.S. Dist. Court Case No. CV10-05782 CBM [RZX]). The scope of work is limited to the removal of the specific Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access barrier(s) and adjacent work for the purpose of barrier removal, as identified by requestor/resident with a disability, in accordance with the applicable accessibility requirements, including those required by the ADA. The beneficiaries of the Project include the public and local businesses. The Project includes the removal of no street trees. The Bureau of Engineering determined the project was exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and conditionally approved the Project on July 1, 2026, contingent on approval of the tree pruning permits by StreetsLA.

This Projectis statutorily exempt under Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(7) as the sidewalk repair is a repair activity necessary to the bidding for, hosting or staging of, and funding or carrying out of, an Olympic Games and a Paralympic Games under the authority of the International Olympic Committee or the International Paralympic Committee and does not involve a new facility.
