Document Description
Gemperle Family Farms proposes to construct and operate a manure-based fertilizer pelletizing facility on an approximately 8-acre portion of a 40.55-acre property in Merced County. The project would centralize the storage of poultry manure from nearby applicant-owned egg-layer farms and process the material, along with fertilizer amendments, into stabilized, pelletized fertilizer products for commercial sale. The project involves construction and operation of three primary buildings totaling approximately 166,000 square feet, along with associated equipment, internal driveways, parking, utilities, and supporting infrastructure necessary to produce organic fertilizer pellets. The overall site layout, building locations, access routes, and supporting improvements are illustrated on the site plan.
