Document Description
The project consists of improvement along multiple right-of-way segments within the northern area of the City of Glendale bounded by Emanual Drive (south), La Crescenta Avenue (east), Lowell Avenue (west) and Sky Ridge Road (north). The scope of work improvements to these right-of-way corridors include include street resurfacing to rehabilitate existing pavement that has deteriorated beyond the scope of routine maintenance. The work generally consists of milling and removing the upper 2 inches of existing asphalt concrete (AC) pavement, followed by either the placement of a 1.5-inch Asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM) wearing surface over a 0.5-inch (or variable thickness) AC leveling course, or the placement of a 2-inch ARHM wearing surface. These improvements will enhance ride quality, restore the structural integrity of the pavement, and extend the service life of the roadway.
