Document Description
The proposed project consists of rehabilitating and repaving the existing roadway along Emerson Street between the intersections of Olympic Drive and Turner Avenue. All work will occur within the existing improved roadway. Roadway rehabilitation will be completed using Full Depth Reclamation (FDR), an in-place pavement recycling method. The existing asphalt pavement and underlying base material will be reclaimed to a depth of up to 8 inches using a pavement reclaimer. The reclaimed material will be mixed to create a stabilized base, compacted, and resurfaced. Because FDR reuses the existing pavement and base materials in place, no roadway materials will be imported to or exported from the project site. The project is limited to the repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of an existing public roadway. The proposed improvements will restore the roadway's structural integrity, safety, and serviceability without increasing roadway capacity, expanding the existing footprint, or changing its intended use.
