Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to extend the pavement service life and implement roadway improvements along State Route 18 (SR-18) from Post Mile (PM) R17.8 to 31.7, which is from 0.1 mile east of route 138/18 separation to View Drive. The project scope includes cold plane and overlay, replace asphalt concrete surfacing (digout), guardrail and end treatment upgrades, vegetation control, guardrail patina stain, centerline rumble strip and recessed pavement marker replacement, asphalt concrete dike replacement, Transportation Management System (TMS) elements, bicycle signage, bicycle obstruction markings, bicycle friendly grates, replacement of 14 culverts, drainage feature installation/replacement, embankment repair, sidewalk replacement, and installation of concrete barrier at bridge structure locations.
