Document Description
The Project will restore geomorphic and ecological function to a 1.5-mile reach of the Upper Truckee River by creating a wider river corridor that functions under current hydrologic conditions, reconnects the river to its active floodplain, and enhances aquatic and riparian habitats. This work will result in improved river and meadow conditions and greater habitat complexity and diversity. The Project is designed to benefit aquatic and terrestrial species in the area, including, but not limited to, Lahontan cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus henshawi henshawi), western pearlshell (Margaritifera falcata), and Paiute sculpin (Cottus beldingii).
