The Project is exempt from CEQA in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act Section 15301, Class 1(e)(2) (Existing Facilities), which consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible expansion (10,000 sq. ft. or less) or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. The site is developed and the Minor Site Development Review is for the continued operation of an existing Walmart Supercenter, the Applicant is proposing a minor expansion to the site, within the scope of the CEQA Categorical Exemption.
