The project includes pavement restoration, such as base failure repairs, monument preservation, utility adjustments, concrete curb and gutter repairs, ADA curb ramp installations, cold planning/milling, wedge grinding, and full depth recycling. Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to Sections 15301 & 15302 of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) of 1970, as amended, this project is determined to be exempt pursuant to Class 1, Existing Facilities and Class 2, Replacement and Reconstruction, which consist of the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use. The proposed project improvements are within existing City right-of-way and consist of repairing and resurfacing various streets, curb ramps and sidewalks and will not result in the expansion or contraction of any affected existing streets. The project does not include any unusual circumstances that could result in a significant environmental effect.
