Reasons for Exemption
Based on a Division of Drinking Water Memorandum dated February 7, 2002, this project is categorically exempt because it consists of permitting of a new water well for an existing water system which does not exceed 125 gallons per minute and is not located in a groundwater basin that is critically depleted, subject to seawater intrusion, nor contaminated; and the well is not under the direct influence of surface water.
