Document Description
Caltrans proposes to repair six (6) culverts via CIPP (Cured-in-Place-Pipe Liner) In San Diego County on Interstate 8 at various locations from 0.1 miles east of the Fairmount Avenue undercrossing to 0.3 miles west of the Severin Drive overcrossing. This project will not require temporary construction easements, permits to enter, or permanent acquisitions. This project will include shoulder, lane, and/or ramp closures to allow sufficient space for the Contractor to access the culvert end treatment (aka drainage inlet, etc.). No detours are required for this project. CIPP liner involves inserting a flexible liner into the upstream culvert end treatment, which is then pulled through to the downstream culvert end treatment.
