The project is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction) because it involves the replacement of an existing sewer force main with a new force main of substantially the same capacity and function. The project would maintain the existing wastewater conveyance system between the Letz Avenue Lift Station and the downstream connection at Murray Road. The project does not increase system capacity or extend service to new areas. Following construction, all disturbed areas would be restored to pre-project conditions.
