Document Description
As part of the California Stream Gage Improvement Program, the California Department of Water Resources has executed a contract with Reclamation District 2110 to install a stream gage on the east bank of Dead Horse Cut near the confluence with Snodgrass Slough. The stream gage equipment would be housed in a cabinet with solar panels and an antenna mounted to two 2" galvanized steel pipes anchored in the ground with concrete footings. The cabinet would be installed outside the channel along a private levee road (Dead Horse Island Road). A steel pipe conduit would be secured above ground and extend from the cabinet down the levee bank (rock slope) into the channel to a sonde transmitter and bubbler. The project would involve minor trenching and backfilling outside the channel in a previously disturbed area. No tree removal anticipated.
