Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a maintenance project in Mariposa County at Postmiles (PM) 0.0 through R4.7 and Tuolumne County at PM 6.0 through R7.636 on State Route (SR) 132. The scope of work consists of pavement rehabilitation using Cape Seal with recycled asphalt pavement (RAP). Prior to the cape seal placement there will also be spot location dig outs with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Type A for any existing damaged areas, striping along the main line will be replaced, shoulder backing will be placed throughout the work area, HMA dikes will be replaced and untouched dikes will be capped. All work will be done within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to repair areas of failing or damaged pavement and facilities. The project is needed to prevent further deterioration of the paved highway surface and extend the service life of SR 132.
