Document Description
The applicant is proposing to construct a vermifiltration system to produce higher quality process water for reuse, storage, and land application on an existing dairy. The proposed system will include: one (1) earthen berm in an existing wastewater retention pond, two (2) wastewater lift stations, and seven (7) wastewater processing beds with a total area of 151,480 sq. ft, a 30,296 sq. ft. material processing area, and a 111,400 sq. ft. manure storage area. The dairy facility is also replacing existing equipment with the construction and installation of one (1) wastewater process pit, two (2) mechanical separators, three (3) concrete push walls, one (1) wastewater lift station, and a 21,645 sq. ft. concrete slab for manure handling. The project site is located at 6740 Corona Ave., Kingsburg, Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 002-070-068 and 091.
