Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of the construction of 15 new classrooms including a boys and girls restroom in the one of the classroom wings. There will be 7 standard classrooms with a boys and girls restroom, and 8 transitional kindergarten/kindergarten classrooms, each with their own restroom inside the classrooms, as well as staff restrooms. Of the 15 classrooms, 12 will be a Modernization like-for-like replacements, and three will be New Construction. The work will be located on the existing school campus. The net increase of 3 classrooms will increase the capacity by roughly 75 students. The project is not located in a particularly sensitive environment, and will not have cumulative impacts resulting from successive projects of the same type. There are no unusual circumstances.
