Document Description
The UWMP serves as a comprehensive planning document intended to evaluate and ensure the reliability of the City's water supply. It supports long-term resource planning, promotes water conservation, and establishes a framework for managing water shortages and drought conditions. The 2025 UWMP includes the following key components:1. Development of a long-term strategy for managing current and projected water demands; 2. Evaluation of potable and non-potable water supplies, including supply constraints under regulatory and hydrologic conditions; 3. Assessment of water supply reliability under normal, single dry-year, and multiple dry-year (five consecutive years) scenarios through the year 2050; 4. Preparation of a Drought Risk Assessment (DRA) that analyzes water supply and demand under a modeled five-year drought scenario; and 5. Inclusion of a Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP), which identifies response actions to reduce demand and increase supply during water shortage conditions.
