Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes the End-of-Life
Replacement of Traffic Management System (TMS) Devices Project (Project) to replace 108 TMS elements at various locations in Alameda and San Joaquin Counties on State Route (SR) 13, 24, 61, 84, 92, 123, 185, 238, 260, and Interstate 80, 205, 580, 680, 880, and 980. Specifically, the electronic components of 6 CCTV, 3 CMS, 10 EMS, 7 Freeway Ramp Metering Systems, 16 HAR, 35 Traffic Signals, and 57 Traffic Monitoring Stations, will be replaced at various locations. No excavation or new ground disturbance is anticipated, although some minor vegetation removal may be needed. No new right-of-way (ROW) acquisition is anticipated, but temporary construction easements (TCEs) may be necessary for construction.
