The Ventura County Resource Conservation District, in partnership with the Ventura County Fire Department and Ventura County Public Works, will remove 5-acres of Arundo donax, an invasive and highly ignitable fuel, from an area directly adjacent to a high-density senior citizen community to mitigate fire and flood risks and enhance riparian health, wildlife habitat, and water quality.
