Document Description
This project is for the maintenance of Nimbus Flat Beach at Lake Natoma within Folsom Lake State Recreation Area for the purpose of providing safe beach areas for State Park staff, park visitors, and rowing events. State Parks will work with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to reduce the Lake Natoma lake pool elevation below the permitted allowance for the duration of the project. Work will use heavy equipment and hand tools to complete the following work: • Use a rock screen bucket to remove exposed river cobble; • Relocate river cobble to other areas of the shoreline; and • Spread up to 2,400 cubic yards of decomposed granite along the beach area.
