DESCRIPTION OF NATURE, PURPOSE, AND BENEFICIARIES OF PROJECT:
HACLA is using funds from CA16P004-501-26 for a comprehensive modernization of the public housing units including: 1) Upgrade units to be in compliance with ADA regulations, 2) Asbestos Abatement/Tile replacements, 3) Cladding and Painting of the exterior walls, 4) Repairs and replacements of concrete and paving to walkways, trash enclosures, parking lots, sidewalks and interior streets. 5) Routine dwelling unit interior modernization, 6) Electrical upgrade, 7) Repairs to fire damages, 8) Stabilize Lead-Based Paint and remove Mold, 9) Upgrade playgrounds, exercise equipment and fencing, 10) Replacement of existing aged gas, water and sewer utility lines, 11) Install new 20-year roofs, 12) Installation of safety and security measures such as security cameras, exterior lights and fencing.
