Document Description
The purpose of the geotechnical investigation is to obtain the data necessary for preparation of the design for a new water pipeline proposed by the MCSD under the Mad River to replace the existing aging pipeline. The investigation would include 2 geotechnical borings on the dry river bar that would be conducted over a period of several days between August 1 to September 15. Access to the boring location on the northern river bar would require the drilling rig to travel a limited number of times (twice) through the wetted channel. Drilling depth would range from 50-60 feet and the size of the boreholes would not exceed 8 inches.
