Document Description
The goal of this project is to provide critical support to growers in Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) areas by facilitating the development of targeted Management Practice Plans (MPPs) for addressing water quality constituents outlined in TMDL requirements, in response to Order R4-2023-0353 General Waste Discharge Requirements from Discharges from Irrigated Agricultural Lands within the Los Angeles Region (Ag WDRs). This Project focuses on growers who have chosen to fulfill the Irrigated Lands General Order through the development and implementation of targeted MPPs. The Ag WDRs incorporates seventeen TMDLs with load allocations for agriculture.

This project will enhance. replace, pr add minor additions to existing agricultural irrigation systems, and related infrastructure. This project will also involve minor alterations to land such as trenching, filling, vegetation management or other practices that will reduce surface runoff. These activities will be constrained to non-sensitive areas on agricultural farmland and will not result in any significant negative environmental impacts.
