Reasons for Exemption
Project is categorically exempt, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines, pursuant to Title 14, Cal. Code Regulations Section 15301 pertainingto Existing Facilities. The use of 15301 is applicable and appropriate as there is no expansion to the intent of the project. Furthermore, there is no new available information of substantial importance relating to the project, which was not known, nor could have been known in the exerciseof reasonable diligence, when the previous environmental document was approved. Therefore, the lead agency concludes that the proposed Project fits under the exemption as itis consistent with the Tulare County Zoning Ordinanceand General Plan.
