Document Description
The purpose of this project is to implement a minimum of forty-five (45) Management Practice Plans approved by the Regional Water Board that include sediment, nutrient, and irrigation management practices within the Ventura River, Santa Clara River, and Calleguas Creek watersheds to reduce pesticide and nutrient runoff and leaching, in accordance with Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) in each watershed and Order No. R4-2023-0353 General Waste Discharge requirements for Discharges from Irrigated Lands (2023 Ag Order).

This project will enhance, replace, or add minor additions to existing agricultural irrigation systems, drainage systems and related infrastructure. This project will also involve minor alterations to land such as trenching, filling, vegetation management or other practices that will reduce surface runoff. These activities will be constrained to non-sensitive areas on agricultural farmland and will not result in any significant negative environmental impacts.
