Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a commercial cannabis microbusiness license submitted on 12/23/2025 by Walter Gomez. The project consists of commercial cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, non-storefront retail and distribution in the city’s Industrial (M) zone within an existing facility. The Project-Specific Information submitted by the Applicant states that existing structures will remain with no expansion proposed. Existing City sewer service is provided to the project site, and water is provided by the City of Lynwood. Electricity is provided by Southern California Edison. Operations would be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
