Document Description
The proposed Removal Action Work Plan (RAW) describes remediation of soil and soil vapor impacts involving volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at the Visalia Dry Cleaner Investigation Project. Contamination in the subsurface within the Project area by VOCs, primarily tetrachloroethene (PCE), is presumed to have resulted from spills and other handling processes from several former dry-cleaning facilities in the area including the former Lamoure’s Cleaners, former Country Club Cleaners, former Miller’s Cleaners, and former Village Cleaners, referred to as the “Project Site.” The focus of this RAW is primarily on the former Lamoure’s Cleaners and the former Country Club Cleaners. The remediation activities would consist of installing and operating a soil vapor extraction system at each of the former Lamoure’s and Former Country Club Cleaners properties.
