Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit for a 40,290 square foot warehouse building and a parking lot for delivery vehicles. The facility will be operated by Amazon and is designed to serve as hub for local delivery of packages ordered online. Six (6) parcels are proposed to be merged into two (2) parcels for the development. Delivery vehicles include Line-haul trucks, fleet vans, and conventional private passenger vehicles. The proposed warehouse is approximately 32 feet in height, uses concrete tilt construction, and includes 10 dock doors and 2 grade level doors. The facility would house consumer goods related to “last mile” delivery services and operate 24 hours a day, with no on-site customers. The operation is expected to have approxiamtely 115 regular employees and up to 172 employees during peak periods. The majority of employee vehicle trips would occur between 7:00 am to 9:30 am and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Line-haul truck trips would primarily occur between 9:30 pm and 5:30 am.
