Document Description
The project involves installing No Parking signs on new posts along the roadway shoulder of California State Route 1, near Bixby Bridge, in unincorporated area of County of Monterey; approximately 15 miles south of Carmel. The signs will be installed within the public right-of-way, extending from approximately 700 feet south of the bridge to approximately 900 feet north of the bridge. The signs will be in place temporarily for a period of one year. The purpose is to prohibit vehicle parking at all times on both sides of the road, within this section of State Route 1. By prohibiting vehicles from parking, it will help address the traffic congestion and facilitate passage of emergency vehicles through the area, preventing or mitigating an emergency circumstance.
