Reasons for Exemption
The Proposed Project will result in the replacement of an existing distribution system and the construction of associated site improvements to connect individual residences to California Water Service Company’s distribution system. Further, the project is consistent with the 2010 General Plan and will not have any significant effects on the environment that either have not already been analyzed in 2010 General Plan EIR or are more significant than previously analyzed, or that uniformly applicable development policies would not substantially mitigate. See attached justification, which the County of Monterey has independently reviewed and concurs with the conclusions.
