Document Description
The County of San Luis Obispo Flood Control and Water Conservation District is conducting the Chorro Valley Access Road Repair Project to stabilize an eroded section of Chorro Valley Access Road and to protect an adjacent buried water pipeline. Storm events in January 2023 eroded approximately 300 feet of embankment supporting the roadway, creating an unstable slope and increasing the risk of future damage to both the road and pipeline.
The Project would construct a soldier pile retaining wall along the eroded roadway segment and include installation of a guardrail, repair of existing culverts, and roadway surface repairs. Construction is expected to take approximately three months. The project is not expected to alter habitat and is not within jurisdictional waterways.
