Reasons for Exemption
This project is exempt because 1) there will be no expansion of the primary existing use as a water well, 2) the PFAS Water Treatment System is considered accessory to the existing utility facilities ensuring the continued operation and regulatory permitting of the 1316 R Street water well, and 3) will ensure the water produced by the well meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ‘PFAS National Primary Drinking Water Regulation’ for the public health and safety, meeting the conditions described in Section 15301.
