Document Description
The project would improve safety along a section of a roadway at the intersection of Pocket Road and East Shore Drive and maintain reliability of DOU's wastewater infrastructure.
A roadway depression was discovered at the intersection of Pocket Road and East Shore Road. City crews performed a video review of the sewer main and found that Manhole 707UU12 is currently dealing
with a failure in which the base has settled, causing groundwater to infiltrate into the manhole. Additionally, the adjacent sewer piping is settling and will be repaired. The project will remove and replace the existing manhole and approximately 50 linear feet of 21-inch sewer pipe. This project will also include dewatering, excavation, backfill, and surface restoration.
