Reasons for Exemption
The Murrieta City Council has found the subject project to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15302 (Class 2 Categorical Exemption) of the CEQA Guidelines because this project involves “replacement or reconstruction” of existing infrastructure or facilities and is on the same site and serves the same purpose and capacity as the facility being replaced without expanded use. Any necessary tree trimmings or removals associated with this project will comply with the Nesting Bird Survey in Compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and supplemental Arborist Report of Findings.
