Reasons for Exemption
The wireless communications facility is allowed with discretionary review in the R-3 (Limited Density Multiple Residence) Zone of the Los Angeles County Title 22 (Planning and Zoning) Code. The Project is considered small in size and scope in comparison with other project that generally fall under the Class 3 Categorical Exemption because the improvements are limited to a 50-foot-tall WCF with a utility pole design and associated ground equipment. There are no exceptions to the exemption because the project is not located in an environmentally sensitive area, a scenic highway, or on a hazardous waste site, there are no historical resources and no unusual circumstances that would indicate a reasonable possibility that the Project could have a significant effect on the environment.
