Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-42661-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison Company (SCE).
The Project consists of removing and replacing two wooden utility poles with lightweight steel poles, replacing three existing anchors in-kind in the same location at each pole, and installing new guy wires from each anchor to each pole. A crane will be used from the adjacent road to facilitate utility pole removal, hole excavation, and replacement with new utility poles. Impacts resulting from the Project include vegetation crushing and trimming and soil disturbance within Lake Eleanor Creek. The Project will result in 0.39 acre of temporary impacts to California sycamore woodlands, chamise chaparral, coast live oak woodlands, and mulefat thickets, and 0.01 acre of permanent impacts to coast live oak woodlands and mulefat thickets. SCE will restore the 0.39 acre of temporary impacts to stream bed, bank, and channel to pre-Project conditions. This will include recontouring and blading disturbed soils, returning topsoils to original locations, and raking and spreading duff over the disturbance footprint.
